3-day juice cleanse review

Summer is coming pretty soon but my body is definitely not ready for it at all. For that reason, I detoxed it with a juice cleanse for the last 3 days. I decided to prepare all the juices by myself, simply because I’m a little bit picky what contains vegetables and fruit. I had 5 juices (0,5 l) during the day and about 0,3 l of almond milk for “dinner/night snack”.

I didn’t snack at all and I just had green tea or water. Regarding sports, I didn’t go to the gym on these 3 days but I went for walks (about 1 hour).

Astonishingly the first day wasn’t  hard at all, I never had the feeling to be hungry because I was pretty busy on that day. Since the first day went very well I was pretty excited for the second day – well, unfortunately it wasn’t that easy than the first day, as I had a slight headache and I felt a little bit weak in general, but I managed to get through it. I was a little bit worried for the last day to feel like the day before again but that wasn’t the case. I didn’t feel hungry, weak or had a headache at all – I actually felt really good. I assume that I just had a bad day in general on the second day.

Today is my first day of eating “normal (BUT healthy)” again. I am pretty excited!! I don’t know if I lost some weight and I don’t really care because I just used this juice cleanse for detoxing and a fresh start for a healthy diet. I hope that it’ll help me to finally eat healthy again, and I can loose weight in the following weeks for the perfect summer body.

Make sure that you use organic veggies and fruit (you don’t want to put more toxin into your body while you’re detoxing!!). Drink them in 2-3 hour increments.

JUICE 1
Lemon water (perfect for mornings):
Boil 0,5 l of water and put 1 peeled lemon in it. Cook it for 5-7 minutes. You can add ginger if you want.

JUICE 2
Apples, carrots & ginger:
Put about 3 apples, 5 carrots (less if they’re big) and some ginger into the juicer. Add some water. You can add lemon and strawberries if you like.

JUICE 3
The green one:
Juice 1 green apple with kiwi, some baby spinach and kale, 1 cucumber and celery. Add water and cayenne (to season it).

JUICE 4
Watermelon water (good as a afternoon snack):
In my opinion you don’t need a juicer for this because  a watermelon consists a lot of water on its own. Chop your watermelon into small pieces and blend it in a blender. Add some water or ice cubes.

JUICE 5
Beetroot heaven:
Put 1 Beet (peeled), 3 carrots, some kale leaves, 3 red apples, 1/2 lemon and some ginger into the juicer. Add water and et voilà you’re in beetroot heaven!

JUICE 6
Almond milk
Well, I have to admit that I didn’t prepare this by myself, I actually bought it (make sure that there’s no added sugar in it).
